This political cartoon expresses how American's these days are too busy with too many other things to care about genocide. The things that they do care about are generally things that effect them directly such as their jobs, their pensions, their SUV's, etc. Something as big and important as Darfur, on the other hand, is left ignored because it does not effect us as individual's or our society directly.
